09 May Ski Trip 2016
On Saturday 26 March we embarked on our first school ski trip! 40 students and 5 staff members gathered at school late on the Saturday evening, excited and slightly nervous for the trip ahead.
After a long 18 hour coach journey we arrived in Morzine, France ready for some skiing. The students began skiing on the Monday morning with their ski instructors and picked up the skills quickly.
By the end of the trip all of the students were comfortably skiing the blue runs and venturing onto the reds. The top level skiers got going straight away, flying off down the red and black runs with Mr Gilbert in tow.
As well as skiing, we had lots of other activities: trips to the cinema, ice skating, ice hockey, disco night and a day trip to Geneva. The students were excellent throughout the trip and represented Highbury Grove very well. I would like to thank all the students and parents for making the trip a success, with special thanks going to Ms Landon, Ms Henson, Mr Ghoudelbourk and Mr Gilbert who gave up their holiday to support the trip.
