09 May Science Week – Teaching Talons
Our science week was kicked off with another visit from Teaching Talons.
Students in Year 7 who have been working well in their science lessons and handing in high quality homework were invited to meet the hissing cockroaches, stick insects, rats, bearded dragon, hedgehog, and owls. The students demonstrated a good understanding of animal adaptations and learnt lots of new, interesting facts about animal behaviour whilst looking at and handling some of the guests. Mooshu the bearded dragon was the most popular animal who joined us, but Pigwidgeon the African white faced owl and Autumn the African barn owl really stole the show.
