12 May SCIENCE WEEK – Paramedicine Workshop
40 Year 9 students took part in a workshop run by biomedical students from St George’s University.
The focus of this session was the work of paramedics. Students learnt how to take vital signs from patients such as pulse, temperature and blood pressure. They also learned how to to respond to an unconscious person and practised some CPR skills as well as learning how to bandage different wounds and immobilise an arm in a sling.
