12 May SCIENCE WEEK – Paper Wings House Competition
“Summon forth the play of wind; the blade of lift and drag; the conversation with the clouds; and fly sweet papered creation, fly…”
Thursday 23 March hosted the school’s first ever paper plane contest with heavily craved house points on offer. The event was split into three categories Aerobatics, Flight Time and Flight Distance. With an incredibly impressive performance, Balthasar took first place in the Aerobatics as he wowed judges with twists, loops and turns. Both Buddy and Henry were the next to show off their skills as they took a tied first place victory in the longest airtime category with an impressive 4 seconds each. And finally it was Erin who claimed the much coveted longest distance trophy with an impressive flight of over 14m. All houses were present but it was Ignis who came out in force and claimed the overall victory. Thank you to all those that attended and many thanks to the teachers that assisted, most notably Mrs Cassidy.
