28 Nov Epilepsy Awareness
‘Epilepsy is the one of the most common serious neurological conditions in the world. It affects around 600,000 people in the UK. This means that almost 1 in 100 people in the UK have epilepsy. Around 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy in the UK every day.’ – epilepsy.org.uk
At Highbury Grove we also have students who are living with epilepsy. Two of them decided to do a bake sale with their friends on Friday 21 October to raise awareness and take part in the Tea Break, a fundraiser run by Epilepsy Action. Staff and students were very supportive. We want to thank everybody who helped us raise £112.14. The money raised will help to run meet-ups for children and adults living with epilepsy.
